Is it Chilly or Chilli Challenge...?

Pioneer and Pathfinder Scouts tested themselves by taking part in the District Chilly Challenge. Sleeping out for one night in January! Bbbrrrrr

The Scouts participated in activities throughout the day, as well as creating the perfect campsite to try and win the coveted trophy!

After making Chilli for dinner (only with a bit of help from the leaders), the Scouts were then treated to a Campfire with songs and marshmallows before heading to bed to try and get some sleep, and warmth.

Loads of the groups in the District took part and it was amazing to get to a District event again, thank you to Sue our District Commissioner for organising the event, we already can’t wait for next year!

World Scout Jamboree 2023, Korea

We are very proud to announce that 5 of our young people from Falcon Unit Explorers and Alison, a leader in Pathfinder Scouts, will be going to the World Scout Jamboree Korea in 2023.

They be part of the Derbyshire contingent with more than 40,000 Scouts from all over the world who will gather in Summer 2023 in Korea for the 25 World Scout Jamboree.

With stiff competition for places, it is extraordinary to have 5 scouts and 1 leaders from Ashbourne Scout Group.

A special mention must go to the other candidates from Derwent and Dove who all performed well and made the selection process very tough.

We look forward to supporting you over the next 2 years in the build-up to the 2023 World Scout Jamboree.
