Puma Pack have been working with the Royal British Legion this term to remember the Soldiers who fought in War from Ashbourne.
Each Cub has taken responsibility for the grave and the memory of one Soldier, learning about their lives, as well as cleaning the graves and laying a ceramic poppy, which they made themselves, on the grave.
The work has been co-ordinated by Ashbourne Royal British Legion member, Ann Smith, as well as Mary Webster of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
This project has become much of a passion for the Cubs and Leaders, teaching the Cubs about the importance played by individuals during war, and also how important it is to make sure that their memory is protected and respected.
Thank you Royal British Legion for supporting us through this amazing journey.
